U.S. Open Swimming Championships

The 2023 U.S. Open will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, in Greensboro, North Carolina. This will be a long course swim meet held from Wednesday, November 29, 2023, through Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Olympic 10km Open Water (Men)

The men’s and women’s 10km Open Water swim will be must-see events as swimmers will race in the Seine River in the first point-to-point open water races at an Olympics since the first time the Games were held in Paris in 1900.

Olympic 10km Open Water (Women)

The men’s and women’s 10km Open Water swim will be must-see events as swimmers will race in the Seine River in the first point-to-point open water races at an Olympics since the first time the Games were held in Paris in 1900.

Olympic Swimming

During the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, athletes take their first plunge into the pool in Paris on Saturday, July 27 with competition concluding on Saturday, August 4. Prelims get underway at 2am PT each day, however if the live medal races are what you want to see, be sure to start watching at 11:30am PT.  The one exception will be on Saturday, August 4, when the final day in the pool begins at 9:30 am PT.

NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (D1 Women)

The NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships are annual college championship events in the United States. The meets take place in a 25-yard pool, except for the Division I meets in 2000 and 2004 which were swum in a 25-meter competition course.

Unlike swimming competitions in the pool, Open Water Swimming competitions take place over long distances in natural bodies of water such as the open ocean, rivers and lakes. The competition distances for Fukuoka 2023 are 5 km and 10 km as well as the 6km team relay (4x1500m). Affected by natural conditions, Open Water Swimming is a grueling discipline that requires knowledge and experience as well as technique.
